Dear Jared Fogle,
Dude, have you tried the new Subway Frito Chicken Enchilada Melt? What about the Big Philly Cheese Steak? The Flatizza (flatbread + Pizza)? Yeah, turkey and ham pretty sound pretty bland compared to these sodium bombs. Basically Subway makes healthy sandwiches like Michelob makes health beer.
I don’t remember all these exotic and down right terrible-for-you options on the menu back when you (or the Subway ad agency) pioneered the Subway Diet. The Meatball Marinara was probably the least healthy sandwich at the time clocking in at a cool 960 calories. Had the temptation for corn chips and hot sauce on your sandwich been an option, do you think you would have had the same success with your weight loss?
There were rumors that you gained a lot of the weight back and they phased you out of the ad campaign for a while. Don’t worry, you wouldn’t be the first person who regained weight after a diet (especially considering the direction of Subway’s menu). According to this TED Talk, almost everyone who loses weight through a diet gains it back eventually. Whomp.
Well congrats on completing that marathon a while back. Any plans to run another?
