Dear Senator Ted Cruz,
First off, I wanted to tell you how funny your Winston Churchill tattoo April Fools joke was! You so had me for a minute there! LOL!
I also wanted to let you know that you’re the only hope to preserve our America, the America my grandfather fought for, the America that freed the people Iraq and Afghanistan, and most importantly the America that gives every person the right to own a firearm. Obama is destroying this country one regulation at a time and we can’t let Hilary do any more damage in 2016.
I know you have a lot on your plate right now saving our nation, but let’s not forget about the state you represent, the Great State of Texas! In 6th grade, I learned that Texas won it’s independence from Mexico on March 2, 1836. The liberals in the teacher’s unions must have wrote that because we are still at war with the Mexicans and we are losing. I know the border fence is 18 feet tall, but I’m thinking we need to add at least another 10 or 20 feet. That should stop those illegal aliens from destroying our sovereign state and country. Amen.
April Fools. You’re a turd.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the Senate’s immigration reform debate. Input from my constituents significantly informs my decision-making and empowers me to better represent the state.
America has a proud history of welcoming immigrants from around the world seeking freedom and prosperity. Yet, despite a consensus that our current system fails to secure our borders, provide American business with a workable system for hiring immigrant labor, or uphold the rule of law, the Senate chose to consider and pass a massive, complicated piece of legislation that does not address these problems. Unfortunately, the Senate bill undermined any attempt to expand opportunities for hard-working legal immigrants with wholly inadequate border security provisions and a special path to citizenship that will only encourage more illegal immigration.
As the son of a Cuban immigrant, I believe the United States should be a nation that not just welcomes, but celebrates, legal immigrants who come here to pursue the American Dream. Through both Judiciary Committee and full Senate consideration of this bill, I offered amendments to truly secure the border, streamline and expand legal immigration, and respect the rule of law; all were all denied. While I sincerely believe the U.S. legal immigration system must be improved, I joined 31 of my colleagues in voting against the Senate bill because it will only make our current immigration problems worse, repeating the mistakes of the past.
Thank you again for sharing your views with me. Please feel free to contact me in the future about any issue important to your family. It is an honor to serve you and the people of Texas.
